How accurate are AI-generated descriptions?

Descriptions are generally accurate and on-brief for most common stock subjects, especially for clear photos with recognizable objects, people, interiors, food, landscapes, and everyday scenes.

Accuracy depends on:

  • image clarity and composition
  • how recognizable the subject is to the AI
  • the level of detail in the image
  • whether you provided optional context (Pro plan).

AI tends to perform best on clear, well-lit images with obvious subjects. It can be less precise with:

  • conceptual or abstract images
  • very small or distant objects
  • niche subjects, species, landmarks, or technical details.

For example, the AI may describe a seagull as “a white bird” if the object is too small or unclear in the image.

Always review descriptions before submitting. Small edits are sometimes needed, especially for conceptual, artistic, or highly detailed content.
